比較政治学、経済政治学専攻。ハイデルベルク大学で博士号を取得。論文は、1990年からの労働政策改革(主に労働時間・非正規雇用・解雇保護)と、nonliberal capitalism におけるドイツと日本を比較。本研究所では、非正規雇用の問題がどう労働政策政治に影響を与えるのか、社会福祉政策の規制(私的年金と住宅市場)、最低賃金改革の政治、に関する研究をしている。
