Having completed my undergraduate studies in Sociology at the University of Marburg, I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in the same discipline, focusing on ‘Diversity and Society’, at the University of Tübingen. Being particularly attracted by topics related to migration, identity, and family, I have a broad interest in issues at the interconnection between society and its pressing challenges. In everyday life, for instance on trains or in conversations, I like to observe people, their behaviour, and values from a comparative German-Japanese cultural perspective.
During my internship at the German Institute for Japanese Studies, I am participating in the research project ‘Sustainability and Resilience’ led by Markus Heckel. I analyse, inter alia, how Japanese newspapers cover the aspect of sustainability in Japan.
