Abstract of research project
Although the great economic importance of young high tech companies is widely known, financing of new innovative companies can still be very difficult. Asymmetrical information, high costs for R&D and an uncertain cash flow lead to a high risk.
Since the financial deregulation at the end of the 1990s, the Japanese Venture Capital Industry has faced a lot of changes.
In my dissertation project I will be trying to analyze the risk reduction strategies of Japanese Venture Capital Managers.
