Mari Akazawa

My name is Mari Akazawa. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in International Communication and Translation at the University of Hildesheim, I started the Master of Arts program in Linguistic and Literary Computing at TU Darmstadt. In recent years, alongside my studies, I have supported the fortext lab as an editorial assistant and project coordinator for the forTEXT portal.

At the DIJ, I assist Torsten Weber in the areas of public relations and science communication. I look forward to applying and expanding the knowledge I have gained so far within the context of this interdisciplinary institute. Additionally, I will support Torsten Weber in his research on the politics of history in East Asia. As part of this project, I will focus on the digitization and full text extraction of Japanese magazines.
