    Japan in Transregional Perspective

    Research focus 2019年6月年〜

During the past few years, the DIJ has successively incorporated Japan's transnational and transregional connections into its research. This regional and global contextualization of Japan is reflected in several individual research projects and in several multi-institutional research collaborations: the newly established research partnership on Asian Infrastructures with the Asia Research Institute (ARI) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) as well as the projects on Borders, Mobility and New Infrastructures (NUS) and on Interaction and Knowledge in the Pacific Region: Entanglements and Disentanglements (MWS/BMBF) which were completed in 2022.
