My name is Vincent Hecker. I am currently studying History and Political Science at Heidelberg University for my bachelor’s degree. Upon completion, I will pursue a master’s degree at FU Berlin. I also work as a research assistant at the Heidelberger Akademie der Wissenschaften (Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities).
At the DIJ, I support Dolf-Alexander Neuhaus in the field of Modern History of Japan and East Asia. I am excited to utilize and build upon my existing knowledge within this interdisciplinary environment. Currently, I assist Dolf-Alexander Neuhaus in researching the Japanese kōban system and its similarities and differences to the NPP (Neighborhood Police Post) system in Singapore.
