Alexander Lauer

I am currently a second year postgraduate student at Trier University, majoring in European and East Asian Governance with a focus on the policy analysis of EU member states, the EU, and East Asian countries. Personally, I am mostly interested in the analysis of Japanese and Chinese policies and their impact on the East Asian region. The aim of my internship at the DIJ is to do research and acquire work experience at a research institute. During my internship at the DIJ, I assist David Malitz with research on Japanese foreign policy towards the Mekong region.
