Environmental Humanities in East Asia
February 16, 2022 – ongoing
Organisation: Barbara Geilhorn
In this lecture series researchers from all disciplines of the humanities are invited to discuss pressing questions, recent trends and approaches in the upcoming field of environmental humanities. Topics include but are not limited to the damage/protection of our environment, ecocriticism, climate change, the relation between human beings, nature and other living beings. While the series focuses on Japan, transnational perspectives in particular in comparison to other Asian countries are highly appreciated.
Join us to discuss these and further issues with internationally established and upcoming scholars! Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, most events are held online until further notice.
This series is part of the DIJ History and Humanities Study Group, a forum for scholars conducting research on modern and contemporary Japan. The events are open to all.
