We regularly offer opportunities to become part of our team, including as Senior Research Fellows, visiting researchers, doctoral students, and interns. 

Through our Scholar in Residence Programme we promote exchange and networking with international researchers. It is aimed at researchers from all disciplines who either already cooperate with researchers at the Institute or intend to do so.

We also support research projects by doctoral candidates within the framework of our Doctoral Scholarship Programme, which enables a stay of three to twelve months at the
Institute. Applicants who write their dissertation in an area of Japan-related research are eligible for this programme.

In addition, we award internships to students whose qualifications or study interests fit ongoing projects at the Institute.
