Johannes Muff studies digital humanities at the University Mainz and the University of Applied Sciences Mainz. He holds a bachelor degree in philosophy with minors in French studies and political science. Fascinated by the interconnections of technology, knowledge and morals for (human) cohabitation, he specializes in spatial data analysis.

At the DIJ Johannes Muff supports the project “Putting Research into Play: Designing a Digital Game on Places of Resilience in Rural Japan” developed by Christina Polak-Rottmann and Sebastian Polak-Rottmann. He designs the map for a virtual village in a computer game. This “playful modulation” aims to highlight processes of scientific knowledge production through multiplication, transformation and distortion of scientific data.
