Sébastien Lechevalier is an economist, Professor at EHESS (School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences, Paris), specialized in the study of Asian economies, with a focus on Japan and on the relations between technologies and societies. He is the founder and the president of the Fondation France-Japon de l’EHESS (FFJ). He is the principal investigator (PI) of INNOVCARE (2024-2028): „Care-led innovation: the case of eldercare in France and in Japan“, a research project funded by „PPR Autonomie” (France 2030), which involved 11 French institutions and 7 Japanese institutions, more than 60 researchers in social sciences, robotics and medical sciences.
