Philipp-Ben Wakker

My name is Philipp-Ben Wakker. I am a student of history and philosophy at Heidelberg University. At the DIJ, I assist David Malitz and Dolf Neuhaus with their respective projects. Since both of their projects focus on history, I hope that this internship will give me deeper insights into historical research and its practices. As part of this, I will evaluate several articles, books, and anthologies, support them in their research, and attend conferences and workshops. I hope that this internship will give me a change of perspective so that I am not trapped in a Eurocentric view, but can also recognize global historical contexts and take on different perspectives.
