Timo Riegelmann
Since October 2025
Timo Riegelmann is a Bachelor’s student in the Public Health program at the University of Bremen, with a focus on Environmental Public Health. During his studies he has developed an interest in projects examining the effects of environmental factors on populations in South Asia, with an emphasis on preventive and health-promoting measures.
During his internship at the DIJ, Timo is supporting Carolin Fleischer-Heininger in her research on disabilities in Japan. Additionally, he hopes to gain insights into transdisciplinary projects at the institute and to develop a deeper understanding of how societal and cultural factors influence health and well-being in Japan.
