Junko Ando
History
(Researchers, May 1, 2001 - November 30, 2015)Junko Ando has been a senior research fellow at the DIJ since May 2001. She studied History and Philosophy at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf, and holds a PhD in History. Within the DIJ research focus “Challenges of Demographic Change” her subject of study is the adult guardianship in Japan. Her research interests include reception of western ideas since the Meiji period, discussion related to Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution, and the controversy surrounding the female succession in Japan.
